I think I may even prefer the "C Word"

I should have written today but I am too upset. I just learned that some parents call their daughter's vaginas "front butts." Is that not the grossest, prissiest, weirdest, yuckiest, most unappealing thing you've ever heard? I know, me too. I'm gonna need some time. Maybe by tomorrow I will be whole again.

Agreed--that is NOT okay. Although I do love the term "bottom burp" for a fart.

I am completely horrified. What is the thinking with that? I thought the trend was towards *more* anatomical accuracy and using vulva instead of vagina when that's what is meant (hence the unfortunate instance of my friend's daughter proclaiming that she dropped her ice cream on her vulva when it seemed to me that "lap" or even "crotch" would have been plenty accurate).

I am not sure WHY people do it (a prissiness about the word Vagina, I imagine) but I was on some parenting forum and they had a question about what you call your child's "privates" and an alarming number of people said "front butt." Other popular terms for genitalia include wizzy, pee pee, and ding-a-ling. I kid you not. Okay, pee-pee I can work with. At least it's better that "vulva" which, let's face it, is just an ugly, ugly word.

Only going to say this one more time: they called it a "Tushy Front." Just...wow.
